The SE 292 machining centre combines maximum stability, increased drive power to optimise machining times, quick rapid feeds, good accessibility to all components a clear design and maximum flexibility. The concept is of a horizontal machining centre. The machining unit is integrated in a movable machining module and can be moved in the X, Y and Z axes. A swivel table equipped with a B axis is located in front of the machining unit. The clamping device can be optimally placed on this swivel table. Especially for lorry front axle machining. For this, the clamping device is equipped with an additional swivel axis so that the front axle can be completely machined
in one setup. To supply tools, either a tool magazine in a second level above the work area with 60 places or a lateral magazine with 20 or 30 places can be used.
In order to increase the efficiency, these machining centres can be equipped with an automated loading and unloading mechanism.
The option is still available to have workpiece storage with feed and discharge belts.
This machining concept is especially well suited for the machining of longer workpieces, such as lorry axles.
