The horizontal slide with the holder of the guide rails of the machining units is located on the machine bed with the holder of the guide rails for the X axis. The machining units can be individually corrected in the Z direction. A swivel table is arranged in front of the machining units. There are three rotary tables on each side of the swivel table to take up workpieces which are integrated in a slide (Y axis) which can be vertically moved.
Each machining unit has its own tool magazine, which is located in a separate level above the work area. The tool change is done via a slewing gear into the work area, which supplies all three machining units at the same time. The tool magazine can be accessed by a service staircase. This machining centre therefore has a very space-saving design.
Three rotary tables for workpiece loading are always on the loading side, while there are three rotary tables with workpieces in the work area. This makes it easier to do setup procedures while the machining is being done, which results in additional increases in efficiency.
