The machining centre is equipped with a conventional work spindle, HSK100 tool taper, a surfacing unit and an angled milling head. The workpiece clamping is done on a changing pallet.

The spindle module with the integrated work spindle is designed so that the spindle includes the Y and Z axes. The X axis stroke is carried out by a slide with integrated indexing table and pallet take up. This allows the workpiece to also reach the other machining positions with the surfacing unit and angled milling head, which are positioned at a 90° angle in front of the work spindle. The angled milling head is so compactly built that the angled milling head can enter the gearbox housing to mill the interior grooves. Besides the infeed axis, the angled milling head also has its own additional horizontal rotary axis. Directly across from this is the surfacing unit with two-part sliding surfacing head. This design makes it possible to perform different machining tasks in a single set-up.

 

A tool magazine is assigned to the main spindle and is located above the work area in a second level.

 

It is possible to change workpieces while the machining is being done by using the workpiece clamping on pallets.
